For the first time in almost fifteen years I returned to the USA to visit the magnificent National Parks of the southwest. After about two weeks in Zion National Park I took the opportunity to see the Grand Canyon for another three days. Utah’s autumn colours exceeded my expectations by far and I was able to capture the landscape in some of my favourite photographs of all time.
When the Welsh woodlands awake after a long winter with countless shades of green, May brings the best time to visit. Small streams are gurgling peacefully and the slate of the famous quarries shines in the brightest colours. It is this unusual combination that makes Wales almost irresistable for photographers.
