This July brought another opportunity to visit the sublime volcanic landscapes of Iceland. Vast plains covered in black sand like from another planet and brightly coloured rocks as well as huge lakes offer endless possibilities to explore this strange land while the ever changing weather adds a healthy amount of adventure.
For the first time in almost fifteen years I returned to the USA to visit the magnificent National Parks of the southwest. After about two weeks in Zion National Park I took the opportunity to see the Grand Canyon for another three days. Utah’s autumn colours exceeded my expectations by far and I was able to capture the landscape in some of my favourite photographs of all time.
Winter is not far away and my yearly exhibition is open from 20 November to 20 December 2026 in the small town of Rust near Lake Neusiedl.
